The Student Health and Wellness Center (SHAW) invites UWM faculty and staff to help encourage students to apply to be part of the new Student Wellness Advisory Group (SWAG), a paid opportunity to help shape campus health and wellness services and build collaboration, communication and critical-thinking skills.
The advisory group will provide feedback and share perspectives on SHAW programs, services, policies and communications to ensure they are student-centered, inclusive and responsive to student needs.
SHAW is seeking engaged students with an interest in health, wellness, advocacy or campus improvement. Please share this opportunity with UWM students you advise, teach, mentor or supervise.
SWAG at a glance:
- About 10 undergraduate and graduate students will be accepted
- Monthly meetings during the academic year (four meetings per semester, 90 minutes, in person)
- Minimum two-semester commitment
- $40 monetary equivalent per meeting
Currently enrolled UWM students who plan to stay enrolled for at least two more semesters and who have not worked for SHAW in the past 12 months are eligible.
The Student Wellness Advisory Group Application is open through May 14.
