All UWM employees are invited to register for Conflict Transformation workshops offered by the Division of Community Empowerment and Institutional Inclusivity (CEII).
This series of three professional development workshops will address: conflict styles, responsive strategies and ways to prepare for conflict. Scenarios prompt reflection on conflict situations that may occur in classrooms, offices or on work teams. Participants will learn conflict transformation skills they can use in these and other settings.
Each workshop is offered both in person and virtually. The in-person workshops will be on Tuesdays, March 3, March 17 and March 31, at noon to 1 p.m., in Engelmann B73. The virtual workshops will be on Wednesdays, March 4, March 18 and April 1, at 2-3 p.m., via Zoom.
The workshops build on each other, so it’s recommended to attend all three if possible, but this is not required. Register online by Feb. 27.
The Conflict Transformation program is facilitated by Sarah MacDonald, CEII training and dispute resolution specialist. Contact her for more information.
