Purpose of Meeting: Action items:
– Approve the syllabus for INFOST 691 – Current Topics in Information Science and Technology as a new course replacing COMPST 701 – Computing Fundamentals for IT Professionals.
– Approve permanent course numbers INFOST 580 and INFOST 581 to the special topics courses INFOST 691 – Current Topics in Information Science and Technology and INFOST 691 – Special Topics in Information Science: Software Engineering, respectively.
Discussion items:
– Review the HLC report for Outcome #1 for COMPST 701 (Fall 2024; Dr. Amol Mali).
– Choose a course for the HLC assessment for the 2025–26 academic year, focusing on MSIST learning outcome #2.
