AI Ethics Symposium: From Policy to Practice set for Nov. 21

In partnership with the Center for Data, Ethics, and Society at Marquette University, the Northwestern Mutual Data Science Institute will host an artificial intelligence ethics symposium on Nov. 21, to continue the national dialogue around the ethical concerns of AI.

This event will have two keynote addresses from Dr. Alondra Nelson, former deputy assistant to President Joe Biden and director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, as well as Dr. Casey Fiesler, associate professor of information science at the University of Colorado Boulder. Call for poster presenters

Also, as a part of this year’s event, we will be hosting a research poster session/networking event highlighting AI ethics expertise from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Marquette students and faculty, who will create and share posters to showcase their research projects.
