Faculty and staff have the opportunity to learn more about free mental health and well-being resources for students in online webinar trainings this fall.
The Student Health and Wellness Center, in conjunction with the Universities of Wisconsin, will offer virtual sessions about online mental health and well-being resources for students. Faculty and staff who interact with students on a day-to-day basis are encouraged to attend. To learn more, including how to refer students to them services, sign up for a webinar designed for faculty and staff below:
Here are brief descriptions for each service:
You @ UWM
You @ UWM is a self-care hub for students looking for ways to check in on their self-care, practice setting goals for their academic and social life, and learn more about overall wellness. As one of the first steps a student can take to focus on their mental health, we recommend You @ UWM for any student interested in self-care and well-being.
Togetherall
Togetherall is an online peer-to-peer discussion platform for students looking to take the next step on their mental health journey by connecting with other students who might be facing similar issues. If a student isn’t ready to engage in therapy but is looking for an online peer-community focused on mental health, this service is a great place to start.
Those interested in a demo of Togetherall can sign up for a session when available.
Mantra Health
Mantra Health is virtual therapy connected with Counselors at the Student Health and Wellness Center, and it is for students seeking similar individual therapy options offered at UWM, but with extended hours, weekend appointments, and identity-specific counselors. Students can create an online account, which will take about 10 minutes, and schedule their first appointment.
