Celebrate the Lunar New Year on Wednesday, Feb. 7, with the UWM Planetarium, in collaboration with the UWM Southeast Asian American Student Center.
During a planetarium show from 7-8 p.m., visitors will learn how the moon’s cycle determines the lunar new year, following guest speaker Pu Chen through an immersive timeline including themes of light, food, music and traditions that accompany the changing of the seasons. Stay after the show to enjoy food and activities.
This event is part of the Planetarium’s Our Shared Skies series, a semi-monthly series focusing on stars, stories and cultural perspectives of different countries and celebrations. Find tickets for Lunar New Year at this webpage.
