State of Milwaukee Summit: Covid-19 and Racial Equity

UWM’s Urban Studies Programs will hold the annual “State of Milwaukee Summit: Covid-19 and Racial Equity-What Have We Learned and Where Do We Go from Here?” on Thursday, Nov. 17, in the Golda Meir Library’s fourth-floor conference center. The discussion, from 7-8:30 p.m., is free.

How has Covid-19 affected our neighborhoods and communities? How has Covid-19 further revealed and magnified existing inequalities in our city and region? How are businesses and community organizations faring and what does the future look like?

Join four Milwaukee leaders for a look back at Covid-19 lessons learned and a look ahead toward a post-pandemic landscape. Panelists include Cavalier Johnson, Milwaukee mayor; David Crowley, Milwaukee County executive; Joel Brennan, president of the Greater Milwaukee Committee; and Ellen Gilligan, president and CEO of the Greater Milwaukee Foundation.
