The Story Experience Program invites applications to become Story Fellows, using arts and humanities-based facilitation methods to build community at one of 12 community partner sites. Submissions are rolling until filled, but early applicants get placement preference.
The Story Fellow Program offers a year of deep and meaningful community engagement for upper-level undergraduate and graduate students. The two-semester course sequence is taught by MacArthur Fellow Anne Basting (English). Students learn to facilitate story-sharing for community-building with under-served populations in Milwaukee, using oral history, story circles, and arts engagement among other approaches.
