Wisconsin faces a shortage of qualified workers, and the state’s employers are having trouble fully staffing open positions. For this reason, the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) has been charged by the state Legislature with investing $3 million over the biennium in marketing efforts to attract new, qualified workers to our state.
WEDC would like to tap into expertise that exists within the UW System to help maximize the efficiency and productivity of the investment. For example, experts in sociology could help identify population groups who are more likely to be mobile and receptive to relocating in Wisconsin, and help segment and target WEDC’s marketing to them.
Proposals must be submitted by Feb. 11. The project is described in more detail in this request for proposals.
