UWM’s policy on testing and mask-wearing remains in place. Unvaccinated students and employees are required to get tested weekly for COVID-19. Masks are required in all indoor spaces on all UWM campuses.
Testing
It is highly recommended that those who are required to test weekly use the free antigen testing available on each UWM campus. Vaccinated individuals also are encouraged to take advantage of on-campus testing.
Testing is provided by appointment 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the Milwaukee campus, and one day a week at UWM at Washington County and UWM at Waukesha. In addition, a special testing session will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 23, at the UWM Student Union.
All students and employees must make an appointment for testing at uwmke.vivi.healthcare.
Unvaccinated students and employees who get tested off campus must file proof each week with this testing exception form.
Masks
Wearing a well-fitting mask is essential to protecting your health. UWM strongly recommends that students and employees wear surgical-style masks or N95 respirator masks while on campus for the best protection from the highly transmissible omicron variant.
UWM will have surgical-style masks (blue) available for free in each building on campus, as well as N95 respirator masks. More details are coming soon on how to acquire them. This short video shows how to best fit a blue, surgical-style mask.
