Douglas Savage

In addition to serving as IWA Director, Doug Savage oversees IWA’s media initiatives and coordinates the annual Fireside Forum lecture series. He also represents the Institute at the World Affairs Councils of America based in Washington. Previously, he served as Assistant Director of the Institute for Global Studies, a UW System faculty and curriculum development office. Prior to that, he was Midwest Regional Director of the National US-Arab Chamber of Commerce, and has held senior positions in other Washington-based NGO’s. He holds a Master’s Degree in Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Chicago, and has done graduate study at Yarmouk University in Jordan.
