History majors and minors often add one of UWM’s certificate programs to their educational plan. A certificate is similar to a minor in the number of credits required. Where a minor consists of about six classes all from the same subject area, a certificate requires about six classes from different disciplines but centered around a theme. History students find these certificates particularly complementary:
