Both Study Abroad and Internships are valuable experiential learning opportunities that allow students to gain new skills, explore career possibilities, build their resume, and link classroom learning to real world situations. We encourage all students to take advantage of these opportunities while at UWM!

We recommend students work closely with their advisor beginning about 18 months prior to traveling abroad. This will leave ample time to explore destinations, secure travel requirements, and plan for academic coursework to be taken prior to and during the time abroad.
