Samir joined the academic staff team at the School of Freshwater Sciences as a Teaching, Learning and Technology Specialist in Fall 2023. He coordinates and supports the needs of graduate and undergraduate courses. Previously, he was a research associate with the Aquatic Ecology Laboratory at the University of Calgary. He was also a Researcher at the Great Lakes Institute for Environmental Research in Windsor, Ontario, where he completed his Masters degree. He has a passion for natural environments and enjoys hiking, fishing, and plays hockey in his spare time.
