Thomas Dunbar, JD

Thomas Dunbar is a Water Policy Specialist and Sea Grant UW Water Science-Policy Fellow at the Center for Water Policy. They hold a Juris Doctorate from Santa Clara University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from UW-Madison.
In law school, Thomas worked for the California Department of Justice in the Land Use and Civil Rights Enforcement Sections, in the Administrative Law Judge division of the California Public Utilities Commission, and at the nonprofit SAGE in New York City. They also worked as a student clinician in Santa Clara’s International Human Rights Clinic where their projects focused on environmental justice.
At the Center for Water Policy, Thomas researches and writes about water law and policy.
In their free time, Thomas enjoys rock climbing, hiking, baking, and sharing pictures of their cat.
