MemberStudents raking the yard of a local older adult.s of the FAA community are invited to join the Green Team in the citywide Make a Difference Day on Saturday, November 7th, 2015. Make a Difference Day is a citywide volunteer event where across Milwaukee volunteers help with neighborhood clean-ups, or winterize the homes of local older adults who need our assistance.

The event goes from 8:00am until approximately noon (depending on how quickly you finish your volunteer project). Participants will meet in the UWM Union Ballroom at 8:00am to check-in and enjoy a brief morning kick-off presentation. Complimentary bagels and coffee will be provided.

This event will honor civil rights leader Vel Phillips, and her legacy in Milwaukee. After a morning of service, participants can enjoy a complimentary lunch and viewing of the documentary “Vel Phillips: Dream Big Dreams” in the UWM Union Ballroom. A taco bar lunch will be served from 11:15am-1:00pm, and the documentary will be screened twice: once at 11:15am and once at 12:15pm.
