Professor Edward A. Beimborn Fellowship

Recipients of the Professor Edward A. Beimborn Fellowship receive $7,500 of support as a graduate student in civil engineering, with a concentration in urban transportation.

Applications are due January 31.

UWM Graduate School Fellowships

Distinguished Graduate School Fellowship (DGSF)

The Distinguished Graduate School Fellowship (DGSF) recognizes and supports the most academically excellent master’s and doctoral students enrolled at UW-Milwaukee. Students are nominated for this award by their programs and compete with other nominees from across the university. Fellowship decisions are made by a university committee.

Distinguished Dissertation Fellowship (DDF)

The Distinguished Dissertation Fellowship (DDF) award recognizes and supports the most academically excellent PhD students who have achieved dissertator status at UWM or will do so by the start of the academic year of the award. Students are nominated for this award by their programs and compete with other nominees from across the university. Fellowship award decisions are made by a university faculty committee.

Advanced Opportunity Program (AOP) Fellowship

The Advanced Opportunity Program (AOP) Fellowship is funded by the state of Wisconsin. AOP fellowships are designed to assist underrepresented racial/ethnic minority and disadvantaged non-minority students to enter graduate study and complete a graduate degree at UWM. Awards are granted to newly admitted or currently enrolled UWM graduate students. Awardees must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
