University Housing Resident Educational Assistant –
Living Learning Communities & Academic Initiatives
Unit: University Housing
Description: Supports approximately 17 Living Learning Communities (LLCs) through programming, academic initiatives, training, RA/Peer Mentor collaboration, assessment, recruitment, and large-scale events. This live‑in role includes participation in the professional staff on‑call rotation and involvement in committees and special projects. Requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Benefits: Housing, bi-weekly stipend of $475, parking at their residential location.

Administrative Support Assistant –
Budget Planner & Reservations
Unit: University Housing
Description: Provides administrative support for Budget Planning and Reservations operations. Responsibilities include organizing financial documents, preparing reports, processing invoices, and assisting with budget tracking. Also supports the Director’s Office by managing scheduling requests, maintaining records of room/space usage, processing confirmations, and assisting with internal and external communications. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential.

University Housing Desk and Security Operations Assistant
Unit: University Housing
Description: The University Housing Desk and Security Operations Assistant is responsible for overseeing the Security and Service Desk operations in the residence halls. This includes co-supervision of student staff, recruitment, hiring, training and customer service in the UWM Residence Halls. UWM is a public research university with a dual mission of access and research, and is the most diverse school in the UW system. The person in this position is a live-in member who is apart of an on-call rotation to respond to crisis and
emergency situations. There are also opportunities for committee involvement and special projects based on your passion areas related to student growth and development, recruitment and selection, student behavior, training, assessment, and orientation.

Mentoring and Student Engagement Graduate Student Assistant
  • Unit: Lubar College of Business – Undergraduate Student Services
  • Description: Our team is seeking an energetic, friendly, and dependable graduate student to work in our office up to 25 hours per week to assist with mentoring and engagement programs specifically in our Lubar College of Business Mentorship Program (LCBMP), Emerging Leaders Program (ELP), and student engagement programming. This person will be responsible for coordinating and executing events for students in both LCBMP and ELP programs during the 2025-2026 academic year.

CHPS Student Success and Retention Assistant
  • Unit: College of Health Professions and Sciences (CHPS) Student Affairs
  • Duties/responsibilities: Student outreach & support, offer basic academic coaching in areas such as time management, study strategies, and organization, Referral & case management; Track student progress through data collection and reporting systems.

Peer Health Education Program Assistant
  • Unit: Student Affairs, Student Health and Wellness Center
  • Description: The Peer Health Education (PHE) Program Assistant supports the Peer Health Education Program by providing educational training and programming to UWM students and mentoring the Peer Health Educator team. The Program Assistant is responsible for managing the logistics of peer health education programs and events, and for supporting Peer Health Educators in developing and presenting new programs on health and wellness topics relevant to the college student population.

Assistant Case Manager
  • Unit: Dean of Students Office
  • Description: The Graduate Project Assistant (GA) meets with students who may be in distress, offers guidance, coordinates resources, maintains detailed records, and follows up with students, families, employees, and campus partners. This position also supports the development of case management services within the Dean of Students Office by cultivating relationships with campus partners and community agencies, leading workshops, developing marketing and website materials, assisting with assessment, and working in the food pantry.
  • Benefits: Hourly wage of $15.28; full tuition remission and health care benefits; on-going professional development opportunities.
Graduate Assistant for Experiential Learning and Career Readiness
  • Unit: Center for Student Experience and Talent
  • Description: This position provides administrative and programming support to SET’s on-campus student employment and internship programs. The role also supports department administration by staffing the front desk and supporting career community events. This is a 30 hour per week graduate assistantship with a 9 month contract from September to June, with a possibility to extend.
