MATC President Vicki Martin is an extraordinary leader and educator. She is a special friend, valued partner, and close colleague. Dr. Martin has positively impacted thousands of lives through her mentorship and fierce dedication to equity and access to a college degree.

Thanks to Vicki’s vision and collaborative leadership, we were able to co-create the M-Cubed partnership, the Higher Education Regional Alliance (HERA) and the Moon Shot for Equity initiative – working on increased college attainment, student success and eliminating the achievement gap by 2030. There is so much more that can be attributed to Dr. Martin, and we will miss her leadership, energy and student centeredness which drives all that she does.

Due to her remarkable achievements, Dr. Martin leaves MATC and its students in excellent hands. I extend my utmost congratulations on her June retirement and wish her a well-deserved journey ahead.
