Advancing UWM Graduate Students in Community Engaged Work

Mar 11, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

UWM is uniquely positioned as an access intuition in a diverse and dynamic urban environment with both R1 and community engagement Carnegie classifications. This unique positioning impels UWM to develop future scholars and professionals who can advance critical work which supports the growth and development of our city and region.

Join the UWM Community Engaged Scholars Network (CESN) and the Public Rhetorics and Community Engagement Program at a special gathering to develop a community of support for UWM graduate students interested in community engagement. This event will explore varying forms of engaged scholarship and practice and seeks to build camaraderie amongst those interested in community engagement at UWM, with a special focus on facilitating connections between graduate students, faculty and staff. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with each other and hear from a panel of participants regarding their experiences with community engagement in the context of UWM and Milwaukee.
Please RSVP for the event by Friday, March 4th.

Sponsored by: CCBLLR Community Engaged Scholars Network and the Public Rhetorics and Community Engagement Program
This programming was assisted by a Mellon/ACLS Scholars & Society Fellowship from the American Council of Learned Societies
