Areas of Expertise

Dr. Tegeler specializes in auditing and financial accounting. Her research focuses on factors that impact audit quality using behavioral research methods including JDM experiments, experimental economics markets, experiential questionnaires, and interviews to explore questions relevant to academia and practitioners. Her research is published in the Journal of Accounting Research, Contemporary Accounting Research, Issues in Accounting Education, and Current Issues in Auditing.

Dr. Tegeler teaches auditing and financial accounting. She previously worked as a senior manager in the audit practice at KPMG LLP in McLean, VA.

Dr. Tegeler is a member of the American Accounting Association and a CPA in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
