Dr. Routh’s expertise lies in the domain of marketing strategy and quantitative marketing, where he combines machine learning methods with traditional econometric modeling techniques, especially text-based modeling techniques.

His current research focuses on contemporary issues in the realm of B2B relationship marketing, frontline sales management, and social network analysis. In the past, he has worked on topics related to customer relationship management. Dr. Routh’s work has been published in Journal of Operations Research Society.
