Areas of Expertise
Dr. Bhatnagar specializes in marketing on the web. His current research focuses on consumer information search behavior on the web, advertising models for the web, benefits and risks of online shopping, and competition among different retail formats. He also specializes in analyzing advertising data for traditional media channels. He teaches courses on international marketing and principles of marketing. He has led several Study Abroad courses to UK, Ireland, Belgium, Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Slovenia, and Switzerland.
Dr. Bhatnagar has published papers in Information Systems Research, Journal of Business, Marketing Letters, Journal of Advertising, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Retailing, European Journal of Operations Research, Communications of ACM, and International Journal of Research in Marketing.
He is on the Editorial Board of Journal of Business Research, Journal of Consumer Marketing and Journal of Services Research. He has served as a reviewer for Marketing Science, Marketing Letters, Journal of Retailing, and Journal of Business Research. Dr. Bhatnagar chaired the session on Marketing Analytics at the Academy of Marketing Science conference, 2016. He has been invited many times to teach courses at Business Schools in Greece and India.
