Professor Emerita of Marketing Laura Peracchio has been recognized with the 2023 Lifetime Achievement Award by the American Marketing Association’s Marketing & Society Special Interest Group. Peracchio was chosen for her significant and impactful research that has made a tremendous contribution to scholarship in consumer behavior, public policy, and the transformative consumer research movement. “Not only does her work make a difference in society, but her work has also created a framework and guide for helping other researchers make a difference in their research and partner with non-academic stakeholders,” said the organization. Peracchio has served as editor for both the Journal of Consumer Research and Journal of Consumer Psychology and president of the Society for Consumer Psychology.
Assistant Professor of Marketing Tracy Rank-Christman and Professor Emerita of Marketing Laura Peracchio were selected as finalists for the 2023 AMA-EBSCO-RRBM Award for Responsible Research in Marketing for their article “Together We Rise: How Social Movements Succeed” (published in the Journal of Consumer Psychology), along with their co-authors Gia Nardini, Melissa Bublitz, and Samantha Cross. The award honors outstanding research that produces both credible and useful knowledge that can be applied to benefit society.
Dean Kaushal Chari was honored among the 2023 Notable Leaders in Higher Education by BizTimes Milwaukee. He was recognized for expanding industry partnerships, building the College’s reputation in analytics and innovation, enhancing graduate preparedness through mentoring and tutoring programs, and leading efforts to launch a new Online MBA program, a new Master’s in Digital Supply Chain Management, and the new Business Innovation Incubator program, which is hosting 10 startups in its inaugural year.
