Activate ePanther Account
After you applied for admission to UWM, you received an email containing your UWM ePanther ID and your UWM Student ID number. You will use this ePanther ID and password to access your UWM accounts.

Pay Your Confirmation Deposit and Complete Credit Agreement
- Pay the New Transfer Confirmation Deposit on your PAWS account to confirm your intent to enroll at UWM.
- Every student must electronically sign the University Credit Agreement that appears on your To Do List on your PAWS account. You can find that under Finances on your PAWS Student Center Page.
Send Your Final Transcripts
If you are currently enrolled at another college or university, or just completed your final semester, be sure to send your final transcript to UWM once your grades have been posted.
Meet with Your Academic Advisor

Math and English Placements
Course placement can be satisfied by submitting your ACT/SAT scores to UWM or by completing our free UWM online placement tests in Math and English. Contact your advisor to determine if you need to send your ACT/SAT scores to UWM or if you need to complete placement testing.

Enroll in Classes
- PAWS – Your PAWS account is your connection to important information about your application and enrollment at UWM.
- Your Enrollment date and time is listed on your PAWS account.
- Use Stellic on your PAWS account to create a schedule.
- Visit the Online Schedule of Classes to find detailed information about dates, deadlines, tuition information as well as course offerings.
Get PantherCard
A PantherCard is your UWM student ID. They are available at any time after you are admitted and are used for access to computer labs, the library, to obtain your U-Pass and many other services.
Housing Options
Buy Books
You may use the online Virtual Bookstore to determine what books you need based on your schedule and order books online.
Bus Pass & Parking
- Enrolled students are entitled to a Milwaukee County Bus Pass (U-Pass) as part of their tuition. U-Pass is available for pick-up about a week before the beginning of each semester at the Parking and Transit Office located in Union G25. More information can be found at on the Transportation website.
- Parking is very limited on and around campus so many students choose to park at UWM’s off-campus parking lots and take a free shuttle.
