Experience an engaging, soothing and inspiring chamber music evening. Crafted around the epic Piano Quartet No. 1 by Johannes Brahms this program features works which offer meditative and vibrant moods.
Lera Auerbach’s Prayer was recently arranged by the composer for solo viola at the request of Claudia Lasareff- Mironoff and will be premiered on this CMM concert followed by famed film composer Nino Rota’s moving Intermezzo for Viola and Piano and a quintessentially American piano trio by Gwyneth Walker. Her Craftsbury Trio immerses audiences into a fresh, natural and vibrant feeling of life in small town USA. The blockbuster Piano Quartet No. 1 in G minor, Op. 25 by Johannes Brahms rounds out the program.
Curated by UWM viola professor Claudia Lasareff-Mironoff this CMM program includes guest artists from the International Chamber Artists and the Chicago Philharmonic.
