While an in-person interview is recommended, we understand some applicants may need to meet virtually. During interviews, time may be available to present work, including the opportunity to receive feedback from faculty. Acting and Musical Theatre applicants may be asked to repeat their monologue and take direction on it.

Performance Recordings

All performances should be pre-recorded and submitted with your application. Recording in a studio or gym is recommended, but not required. Video files should include your name and be uploaded to a file sharing site. Make sure files are accessible via a direct link without a password.
Acting: Performance of one 90-second memorized monologue of choice.
Musical Theatre: Performance of one 60-second memorized monologue from a contemporary play.
Please write a brief description including show title, playwright and character.
Performance of a one-minute dance solo from musical theatre, ballet, jazz or tap.
Please write a brief description including the choreographer, title and where and when it was filmed. Feel free to provide anything else you’d like us to know.

      Placement Exams

      Theory Placement Exam(Required)
      If you have music theory experience we recommend you take an online exam to determine course placement. This will not impact your audition results. There will also be an opportunity to take placement exams for Musical Theatre classes prior to start of semester. Would you like us to contact you with more information about taking the music theory placement exam?
