Actuaries are required to obtain a professional designation through one of two professional organizations: the Society of Actuaries (SOA) or the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS).
UWM’s actuarial science program has a number of courses to help prepare students for professional exams and VEEs (Validation by Educational Experience) required for the associate designation through either the SOA or the CAS. Many online resources are available to help you prepare for your exam.
