David Southward teaches introductory Honors courses on Shakespeare, modern fiction, film, and comics, as well as upper-level courses on poetry and aesthetics. His published essays on Jane Austen and Henry James explore the role of emotional intelligence in the novel. He enjoys writing poetry, traveling, gardening, cooking, and talking about art of all kinds. As the Thesis Liaison, David also oversees the research and writing of Senior Theses.
