Leah Wilson received her PhD in English from Washington State University in May 2021. Her research interests include contemporary sex-positive, intersectional, and transnational feminisms, neoliberal body politics, trans studies, queer of color critique, and late 20th and early 21st century women’s and LGBTQ literature. Her recent publications include articles in French Cultural Studies, The Rocky Mountain ReviewGender ForumWords, Beats, & Life, and a book chapter in Trans Identities in the French Media. At UWM, Professor Wilson is looking forward to teaching classes that introduce students to women’s and gender studies as well as advanced courses in feminist theory, queer theory, and intersectionality.
