Outstanding Teaching Award: Casey O’Brien
Casey O’Brien in a senior lecturer in Women’s & Gender Studies, and has taught many of the core courses in Women’s & Gender Studies since joining UWM in 2008. She has become an invaluable member of the department, according to Andrea C. Westlund, associate professor of philosophy and Women’s & Gender Studies chair.

The UWM Report article “Life Impact helps new grad to overcome odds” features Luisana Waukau, a Women’s & Gender Studies student scheduled to graduate this coming May. Luisana’s success story is partly due to the UWM Life Impact Program.

Xin Huang awarded Fall Fellowship

Assistant Professor Xin Huang has been awarded the UW-System Fellowship at the Institute for Research in the Humanities at UW Madison, Fall 2015.
