Event Services provides a variety of services to the UW-Milwaukee community, including the oversight of approximately 15,000 reservations annually in the 40,000 plus square feet of meeting and convention space of the Student Union. Additionally, Event Services staff manage the information services provided at the Union Information Center which includes Ticket Services and Lost & Found.

Event Spaces
As the center of campus life at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, the UWM Student Union has over 27,000 visitors each day during the Fall and Spring academic terms. UWM Event Services oversees the space allocation process of the event spaces in the Student Union that serve these visitors.
Event spaces in the UWM Student Union vary in size and shape, and are located on all five levels of the facility. Most event spaces in the Student Union can be designed to fit the specific needs of any meeting or event. The flexibility of these spaces allows an event planner the opportunity to have spaces adapt to the need of the function.
Pricing
The UWM Student Union is sustained by student fees, dedicated to shared governance and provides resources for the social, personal and intellectual development of students. Based on this principle, it is the responsibility of Event Services to ensure all entities that reserve space in the Student Union are properly billed for the services that are required to facilitate their needs.
The pricing structure for reservable spaces in the Student Union are designed to ensure the fair and ethical treatment of all clients of Event Services.
Technology
The UWM Union Event Services department strives to provide all users of the event space of the UWM Union the most up to date technology available. Union Event Services looks to continually upgrade technology kept in-house, as well as working to maintain relationships with local vendors to supplement event technology.
UWM Union Event Services employs a full time Media Technician to oversee the Audio Visual department. This individual oversees a staff of six to eight student technicians that operate all equipment of the department, ranging in size and complexity from a flat-screen television to a full concert sound and lighting system.
Policies and Procedures
The policies that govern the UWM Union are in place to ensure the safety and welfare of all patrons of both the UWM Union and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee campus. The UWM Union operates under the direction of the policies set forth by the Legislature of the State of Wisconsin, the Board of Regents of the University of Wisconsin System, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and the UWM Union Policy Board.
