Navigating UWM

Program Highlights:

  • You must bring your ePanther ID and password with you to enroll in courses. If you have forgotten either of these, please retrieve them at here at least 48 hours before your program.
  • The majority of the program is indoors in air conditioned spaces. Consider dressing in layers or bringing a light jacket or sweatshirt in case you feel cold.
  • There are water bottle refill stations throughout campus to refill your own reusable water bottle (not provided).
  • Please do not bring young children, friends or others you’d anticipate remaining alongside you throughout the entire day. Students and guests will be attending separate experiences throughout the majority of the day.

New Student Orientation check-in begins at 8:00 a.m. and the program will continue until 5:00 p.m. Students are required to attend the entire program. View the full student orientation schedule here. Families and supporters can attend a concurrent Guest Orientation program.

Parking will be located at the Union Parking Garage, 2200 E Kenwood Blvd. Check-in is located at the UWM Student Union Concourse. We encourage you to visit www.uwm.edu/map/ to review the map and other campus information.

Parking will be located at the Union Parking Garage, 2200 E Kenwood Blvd. Drivers will receive a QR code at the parking entrance on the day of the event to park for free for the duration of the program in the Union Parking Garage. We can accommodate one vehicle per family. Do not park in surface lots on campus. 

All students and families will receive lunch. Students can view the lunch and dietary information for their program by viewing Sandburg Cafe’s menu. Students can review their registration details for dietary and accommodation information in their Admissions portal and will receive an email to confirm these details 3 weeks prior to their Orientation program date.

University Housing

Visit the Housing Portal using your ePanther ID and password to view your Housing Contract or exemption or sign-up for a south campus tour of Riverview and Cambridge. Sandburg tours are offered as a part of the campus tour.

Financial Aid Information

Be sure to check the status of your financial aid and accept your award if you have not done so.

Student Financial Services will be available from 3:30 – 5:00 p.m. for on-demand financial advising support. You can accept or decline the your offer via your PAWS account.
