Favorite Place on Campus (MKE):
Manfred Olson Planetarium. They have great shows and events!

Favorite Place in Milwaukee:
Milwaukee Public Library

I have been with UW-Milwaukee for nearly 20 years and with the Office of Undergraduate Admissions since 2001. I graduated from UWM with a degree in communication and also photography. I chose to come to Milwaukee because the city offers so many opportunities, the campus has great academic programs and the east side is beautiful, with many parks and the lake close by. There are so many things to do in the area and on campus!

One of my favorite UWM programs is the Distinguished Lecture Series. Past speakers have included Jane Goodall, Maya Angelou, LeVar Burton, Bill Nye, Danny Glover, Samin Nosrat, Ira Glass and many more. It’s a great opportunity to hear diverse — and famous — voices.

I hope I can help introduce you to this great university and city. Currently, I am working on developing our Fostering Success program, which helps students from independent backgrounds attend college. I am available to answer questions about that program or to chat about all things UWM. Best of luck in your college search, I hope to hear from you soon!
