Admissions Counselor: Yadira Ramirez

Hello! My name is Yadira, and I am an Admissions Counselor here at UW-Milwaukee. I primarily work with first-year students from Illinois schools.

While in undergrad, I was involved on campus through student organizations, leadership roles, and employment. I enjoyed helping students find their home on campus and creating a supportive environment for them to thrive. I was drawn to UW-Milwaukee because of the educational and recreational opportunities for students. This mid-size university offers the academic benefits of a large research school and the friendly atmosphere of a smaller one.

I grew up in a small town in Central Wisconsin and recently moved to the Milwaukee area. I immediately fell in love with the city! I enjoy the year-round cultural festivals, music festivals, markets, and lake-front activities. Main Campus is only 15 minutes away from downtown, so I know I can always find something to do.
