UWM admissions counselors are prepared to work with your high school students and their families as they explore UW-Milwaukee. Whether virtual or in-person, we can’t wait to work with you this year!
Resources
Freshman students can now apply using either the UW System Application or Common App. All other applicants should use the UW System application.
Students create a PAWS account for important information about their application and enrollment at UWM. On PAWS, there’s a To-Do List, which includes steps to get admitted and enrolled, and includes any items the Financial Aid Office may have requested after receiving FAFSA results. Students can access their account at uwm.edu/paws and should check it often for updates.
Is your student new to PAWS? Students must first activate their ePanther ID and create a password. Students use this login for PAWS, their UWM email (assigned just before New Student Orientation) and all other online UWM resources.

With more than 200 academic programs to choose from, UWM has one that’s right for your student. All UWM schools and colleges provide opportunities for students to complete general education requirements.
The Career Planning and Resource Center, in collaboration with Pathway Advising, helps undecided students identify their ideal major.
