Silent Cabin Retreat

Trip Dates: Depart March 13 at 3pm and return to campus March 14 at 5pm
The Student Health and Wellness Center and Outdoor Pursuits have paired up to provide a unique overnight cabin stay in combination with a 4 hour silent retreat. Professionals from the Student Health and Wellness are trained to facilitate silent meditations from the Mindfulness Institute for Emerging Adults (MIEA). The meditations include a walking meditation, food meditation, stretching meditation, and more. Outdoor Pursuits will help provide meals and hikes. We will spend the night in a historical farmhouse in Whitnall Park surrounded by woods and trails.
Registration closes March 6th! This trip will have a mandatory pre-trip meeting with all participants and trip leaders the week of the trip at Outdoor Pursuits. Itinerary
Friday: Meet at Outdoor Pursuits at 3pm, drive 30mins to farmhouse in Whitnall Park, make dinner
Saturday: Breakfast, 4hr silent meditation broken into chunks of time with break for lunch, hike local trails, drive back to UWM
