By leveraging diverse expertise and collaborative spirit, our leaders ensure that the Division of Student Affairs operates seamlessly and effectively, continuously striving to enhance the educational experience for students, faculty, and staff alike.
Vice Chancellor
The Vice Chancellor assumes a pivotal role within the university’s leadership structure by directly reporting to the Chancellor. In this capacity, they spearhead the Division of Student Affairs, offering strategic direction, policy guidance, and operational management. Collaborating closely with both professional and student staff, the Vice Chancellor fosters a pervasive sense of inclusion and prioritizes student welfare at UWM. Their efforts concentrate on elevating the caliber of engagements and forging meaningful connections. The Vice Chancellor occupies essential positions within Student Affairs administrative framework, namely the Student Affairs Leadership Team (SALT), the Integrated Leadership Team (ILT), and the Alignment & Action Team (AAT) – all of which are detailed below.
Student Affairs Leadership Team (SALT)
Reporting directly to the Vice Chancellor, SALT provides strategic direction to the Division and its units, meeting regularly to guide the work of our divisional departments, increase collaboration, and enhance student success. Members of the Student Affairs Leadership Team (SALT) champion campus-wide and divisional initiatives and seek out avenues to align efforts across divisions.
