Repeating a Course

Students requiring Physics Department approval to repeat a course must:

  1. Fill out the departmental permission form, which can be obtained from their Program Advisor. Alternatively, the third attempt form (PDF) may be downloaded.
  2. This form completely filled out, as well as an Add/Drop Form, should be handed in to the Physics Department Main Office in KIRC 2150. An appointment will be scheduled with the Associate Chair in the week before the start of the semester in which they wish to repeat the class.

Students taking a course for the third time have lowest priority for registering for classes. Third-attempt permissions are not guaranteed and are subject to a detailed examination of the circumstances that led to the earlier unsatisfactory outcomes.
