Join MAVRC and the War Memorial Center on June 2 for a hybrid movie screening of Scattering CJ.
When charismatic Air Force recruit CJ Twomey shockingly ended his own life at age 20, his family was plunged into unrelenting grief. In a moment of desperate inspiration, his mother Hallie put out an open call on Facebook asking for a handful of travelers to help fulfill her son's wish to see the world by scattering some of his ashes in a place of beauty or special meaning.
It was a call that would resonate beyond her wildest expectations and one that would move tens of thousands of people to answer.

The Warriors Path: War, Moral Injury and Reclaiming the Soul new 10-week dinner and discussion series starts on June 2. This program offers a place to connect and provides a way to frame and talk about military experiences using graphic arts as an entry point. Developed by Veterans, and let by Veteran facilitators.
This program is free and all materials, dinner, and parking are provided. Veterans of all eras and backgrounds welcome!
