Sisters in Service offers a brave space for women Veterans to share unique cultural experiences with other members of the UWM community. Female Veteran leaders will facilitate a cooperative learning experience for attendees through small discussion circles. This program aims to help build relationships, share communal narratives, and develop tools for support, success, and self-care.

This year’s theme is creating HerStory because She Too is a Veteran. This event will offer an opportunity to reflect on their time in service while connecting to attendees and facilitators on a deeper level to illuminate the beauty, diversities, and complexities of the women veteran experience.

The event will be held in collaboration with the UWM Women’s Resource Center and the WI Department of Veterans Affairs Women Veterans Office.
