PASS Programs & Services
Supplemental Instruction
By far, our most popular service. Supplemental Instruction (also known as “SI”) is a type of intensive tutoring that works best with large lecture sections. The SI leader attends class along with the students and then holds four weekly review sessions. By attending class, the SI leader can tailor each review session to course-specific material. Students can join one or all of the sessions, as needed.
Learn MoreWeekly Small Group Tutoring
Group tutoring is a great way to supplement your classroom learning. Students work with a tutor in groups of five or less. The tutor will give individualized attention to students’ needs, while at the same time students will benefit from the questions and experience of the other group members. Groups meet once or twice a week. All group members sign up separately and are placed in groups according to course and scheduling needs.
Learn MoreWalk-In Tutoring
Available for students with the occasional question about course material in math, science, English, economics, business, logic, statistics, and other courses. Walk-in tutoring is available in Library E170 and Bolton 120.
Learn MoreOnline Tutoring
PASS offers online tutoring services as another way to supplement your classroom learning. Weekly online tutoring sessions and online exam review sessions are available for most courses.
Learn MoreResidence Hall Evening Tutoring

Learn MoreStudy Groups
Study Groups offer students yet another way to stay ahead academically. Students meet informally to work on test preparation and course material, either with or without the guidance of a tutor. All groups meet in the Library E170. There are no attendance requirements.
