Inkblots

In Spring 2022, the Creative Writing Club published our very first literary magazine: Inkblots! This was a huge milestone for us and could not have been accomplished without the help of many talented students. Since then, Inkblots has become an annual publication that showcases literary and artistic works from across campus. Keep an eye out for us in the spring, and please consider making a submission!

Although Inkblots is run through the creative writing club, we accept literary and artistic submissions from all UWM students regardless of club participation or honors status. We are looking for poems, short stories, screenplays, excerpts from longer works, etc. We are also accepting artwork such as photography, drawings, paintings, graphic design, etc. All accepted works are dependent upon the majority approval of the creative writing club officer team. We’re excited to see your creations!

Formatting Requirements for Submissions: All written submissions must be under 10 pages, times new roman, 12 pt font, 1-inch margins, double spaced. All artwork must be under 8mb. Accepted formats include PDF, DOC/DOCX, JPEG, and PNG. No google docs! Details on how to submit will be released closer to spring.

Please contact Isabella Burkard at iburkard@uwm.edu for any additional information.
