Professor Rothfels’s Ted Talk Chalks Up Views

Congratulations to Professor Nigel Rothfels, whose animated Ted-Ed talk has been viewed more than 180,000 times since it was posted in late April 2023. In a joint collaboration with director Anna Brenner, the video provides a history of efforts to prevent the extinction of the Mongolian “wild” horse (Takhi) and the lessons that conservationists can draw from such zoo-based breeding programs.

It can be viewed here.
