Nick Hoffman (MA, History ’07) was awarded the Jane LaChapelle McCarty-MLK Community Leader Award at January’s annual Appleton community celebration of the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The award honors individuals who have brought the community together in the spirit of Dr. King. Hoffman, who is the Chief Curator at the History Museum at the Castle in Appleton, was chosen for curating several exhibits about forgotten voices in history, including immigrants and local African Americans.
