GIS Club

Depending on student interest level, UWM periodically hosts a GIS Club that brings together students across programs who all share an interest in spatial analysis and planning, including students from geography, urban planning, urban studies, engineering and more.

Alpha Mu Chapter of Gamma Theta Upsilon

Gamma Theta Upsilon is the international honor society in geography bringing together students with shared interests and aspiration since 1928. Members must be in the top third of their class or have a minimum 3.33 GPA in their geography courses. GTU offers scholarships and networking opportunities to its members.

Students will find organizations that focus on career development and networking; social clubs; sports and activity clubs; community service and volunteer groups; and more. Membership can lead to leadership within the organization, adding to your resume before you even graduate.
