Workshops

We offer workshops on a variety of levels, from introductory to advanced, on multiple topics. We are also happy to tailor a workshop to the specific needs of your classroom or organization.  Workshops include a lecture-style presentation, interactive activities, and question & answer periods.

Workshop requests should be made, no later than 3 weeks from the presentation date.  This allows our Education team to provide the best workshop possible.

Below is a list of workshops offered by the FG+RC:

Selfie

The purpose of the Selfie activity is to explore self-identity and what it means to self-identify. This activity is based on the assumption that awareness of your own perspective will further your understanding of others. It is difficult to understand, let alone respect other’s culture unless you know something about your own frames of reference. When your own system of rules and meanings can be embraced as simply “another voice,” a foundation is laid for the mutual respect that is necessary for appreciate intercultural communication.
