Transfer student admission to the College of Engineering & Applied Science is based on an overall assessment of both academic and nonacademic qualifications, providing a holistic review of the student’s work. For transfer applicants, the primary factors considered for admission are the grade point average on transferable courses and the level of curriculum completion. Nonacademic qualifications will also be considered, such as leadership skills, diversity in personal background, work experience, motivation and maturity.
We understand that knowing how your previous coursework will transfer is a top priority. Use the Transferology Credit Transfer Tool to determine course transferability. You’ll find it applies to UW System, Wisconsin Technical College and many other schools.
You may also visit the UWM Transfer Credit page to view transfer guides and agreements for engineering and computer science majors.
Please keep in mind that all transfer coursework is subject to review and equivalency determination upon official submission to UWM.
