Summer Experience in Architecture, Engineering and Construction for Rising MPS Juniors and Seniors
Rising MPS (Milwaukee Public Schools) juniors and seniors, you can help design the future! Spend two weeks this summer engaging in hands-on, design, engineering, and construction experiential learning.
With guidance from UWM faculty, college teaching assistants, community partners, and STEM professionals, you will delve into how engineering and architecture are used in the real world. You will design, engineer and build a structure to improve a community gathering place.
Additionally, you’ll participate in college and career readiness sessions that put you on a path toward post-secondary success. All rising MPS juniors and seniors are eligible to apply.
No Fees; Special Stipend: There is no charge to participate in this camp. Fees for the camp are fully paid for by a special student award. In addition, a stipend will be offered to the scholars upon successful completion of the program.
Camp dates: June 3-14, 2024
- The camp takes place on the UWM campus and at our community build site.
