Dr. Dong Zheng is research scientist in Professor Deyang Qu’s mechanical engineering group. Since 2010 Dr. Zheng  focuses on research of renewable energy and power sources. By utilizing electrochemical methods and other instrumental methods, Dr. Zheng has continuously contributed to several projects funded by DOE and JCI, including Li/Air battery, Li/S battery, Li-ion battery, and solid-state battery.
